• am knitting this magic loop instead of on dpns. pattern is very much written for dpns.
• would be nice to make waist shaping one st in from edge.

neck - k 3 rounds past suggested colour change for neck

arms - stay w t shirt colour

• on first row, pick up 6 sts underarm
• next row work k2 tog, k2tog, k to 4 sts from end, ssk, ssk,
• k next round
• change to skin colour
• 22 rows long

hand - rnd 10: rpt rnd 2

shoe - 9 rounds long

Oh how i would love to knit all three but what was i thinking?? i can’t have three for miss bear and none for poppet. will have to knit a boy version next and can go back to girls after that.

24 dec - finally did eyes, hair, ears. and not a moment too soon!
8 dec 14 - and we’re done on the way to colac
3 dec 14 - finally got back to it, knitted most of the second arm. And the Swiss darning for the other shoe.
17 nov - one arm finished! and swiss darning for one mary jane complete. just one arm to go. and ears. and finishing. and …
12 nov - made both shoes 9 rows long. started on arm.
11 nov - finished other leg, only knit that shoe 9 rows long bc i’m not sure if the other shoe is too long.
10 nov - red shoe! length is 12 rounds. finished shoe but didn’t tie off end yet. am still unsure about how much to stuff the doll. started other leg.
9 nov - finished leg
8 nov - recommenced on the left leg, got 4 rows done. am now just tying knots at colour changes instead of weaving ends in. they’re on the inside of a doll for goodness’ sake!
7 nov - had one whole stocking complete when i realised that i had missed a decrease row and st count was wrong :( frogged leg (ha ha). main stocking colour is jo sharp alpaca silk georgette pond, striped with borgs vavgarner in dusty plum.
6 nov - finished tshirt in road to china light
3 nov 14 - cast on doll 1 in pomfret. up to separating for arms and body. - doll face - 3cm from marker = 12 rounds
