Notes

not actually sure how much orange flower used, put 31gm in to get leftover amount correct (67gm)
right mitt - 12gm orange flower.

Mitt ribbing - * ktbl, p, ktbl, p2tog * 7 rounds and cast off in rib
Same for thumb but end with ktbl, p; 3 rounds and cast off in rib.

3 apr - unbelievable, colourwork done.
26 mar - it’s slow, progress is slow. round 47 done.
15 mar - worked round 36
6 mar 2019 - worked round 22 of the right mitt.
28 dec - left mitt complete!!
20 dec - left mitt pretty much done.
18 nov - left mitt row 70
15 nov - left mitt row 54
14 nov - left mitt row 39 done
13 nov - done row 15 of left mitt. Took 2.5mm circular out of the twigs bc really, the dpn’s were going to drive me mad.
22 oct - cast on the next mitten cuff. Worked three rows of twisted rib. Worked three plain rows on first mitt. Using 2.5mm bamboo dpn’s and ready to start colourwork.
16 oct 2018 - oh, facing up to reality is so painful. The mitt I knit is just too tight. Going to start again. Have cast on 64sts using alternating cable cast on, 2.25mm needle. Six rows twisted rib done, changing to 2.5mm and need to knit loosely.

7 mar - chart finished. ribbing done. Might need to redo the bind off as the rib is looser than the stranding anyway and it seems to flare.
6 mar 2018 - back at it! Have reached the bird :) 61.5 rounds done.
28 aug 17 - sandstone contrast not really working. Consulted w Suzi and thought to try grey instead. Maybe the Yorkshire tweed?
15 apr 2017 - tried out the Channel Islands cast on. Good effect but lots of ends to weave in which is perhaps not so great for small diameter circular knitting. Also neglected to ktbl so will start again. ok, first ribbing done.
