modifications

• cast on for moss st edge, right front, back, left front and moss st edge all in one go, less 4 sts for seams.

• false side seam as per mrs garter

• placed lace st 3 sts in from edge but next time would do 1 st in.

• mirrored lace by working from line 1 for left side and from line 5 for right side.

• cast off only 3 sts for armhole; cast off 12 sts at neckline (6 for edging, 6 for neckline)

• work neckline decreases one st in from edge

• three-needle bind off at shoulder seam (work with right sides together)

• body is 42 rows; body to neck is 19 rows

Sleeves - pick up 48 sts and work kfb in first and last st. Knit sleeves flat. K 10 rows and start decreases on 11th row. Work decreases at points where increases would have been worked. Work 1 row plain after last decrease row (so on WS). Work 7 rows in moss st, keeping stst edge, 1 st wide. Seam sleeve and attend to any gaps made when picking up sts.

9 nov - finished, really finished!! used gutermann 127 and striped grosgrain ribbon from stash. 13mm snaps. super super happy!!
8 nov - ha ha, finally working on fastenings for this. sewed grosgrain ribbon in to stabilise button bands. sewed on buttons on outside. started sewing snaps on inside. had to use the ‘male’ side of the snap behind the buttons.
26 sep - second sleeve done.
22 sep - first sleeve complete
20 sep - neck edging done
19 sep - fronts and back complete.
18 sep - left front complete, back complete. need to work out buttonholes for right front.
17 sep - split for upper fronts and back. crossed sts over at split
15 sep - cast on, again. fourth time? finished one rpt of branch pattern.
4 sep - really not having luck w this. Frogged it bc had cast on a stitch too many. Bought nice buttons though
2 sep - started again bc forgot to put branches in - duh.
1 sep 14 - cast on a couple of days ago. knit moss st hem and about 3” today.
