• sleeve is 14 rpts from collar in length, 5mm for decr rows and 20 rounds of ribbing, 4.5mm for 20 rounds of ribbing. Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off
• six full body rpts in length
• decrs on 1st and 5th round of third full rpt after joining, then 1st round of fourth rpt (three decr rounds).
• incrs start on 5th round of fifth full rpt after joining, then 1st and 5th rounds of sixth rpt.
• hem ribbing all on 5mm, cast off on 4.5mm. Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off.

5 jul 20 - collar diced and complete.
3 jul - have frogged collar down to 10 rows and worked 12 rows. cast off and pinned. will check for fit tomorrow. cast off and sew down? or sew down live sts?

28 jun - hem ribbing done, most ends woven in but will need to rework collar.
27 jun - working on hem ribbing. Aiming for 22 rows, have done 21. Work one more or not? Enough yarn to cast off? Steam block tomorrow, too tired now.
11 may - phew, finished left sleeve with just a little yarn to go on that ball.
10 may - 20 rounds done.
9 may - four baby hats complete so back on to this. finished 15 rounds of ribbing and realised i’d done last cable decrease incorrectly. ripped back, fixed cable.
29 apr - right sleeve done
28 apr - finished six full body rpts. Redid decrs on sleeve w 5mm needle and 20 rows of ribbing. Worked 3x3 cable decrs as k2tog, k2, ssk, then k2tog, ssk on next row.
27 apr - Have worked full 4.5 rpts in length since joining at underarm.
25 apr - noooo, two extra rpts too much!
24 apr - finished sleeve ribbing. used jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off
23 apr - ripped back ribbing on one sleeve last night. worked two more rpts and decrs on 5.5mm, down to 5mm for first 10 rows of ribbing, then will change to 4.5mm for final 30 rows. don’t know what i did with the numbers but had to fudge to end up w 28. involved one decr at ‘seam’, and working 4 centre sts of cable rpt without decrs (cf just 2 in pattern).
19 apr - have joined on fifth row (I think) of rpt. Have also washed project again to get better idea of fit. Did side decreases on first and fifth row of third full rpt after join. Decided against short rows for bust. Think sleeves would benefit from a couple of extra rpts for drama.
11 apr - ribbing done and joining row for body.
10 apr - struggled to get the decrs correct on the left sleeve. Currently got 40 rows of ribbing on right sleeve, 20 on left. 9 apr - swapped to just one skein bc there’s plenty enough to finish the sleeve. 12.5cm ribbing on right sleeve. still need to fix decrs on left.
8 apr - cables for both sleeves done, decrs on right. need to fix decrs on left.
7 apr - five rpts done on right arm. think there needs to be eight
6 apr - seven arm length rpts done on left sleeve and one on right. And then it occurred to me to try it on to check whether the armscye depth is ok - yes, it is. Phew!! Alternating individual rows on sleeves but there’ll be enough to just knit out the ribbing from one ball. Might need to wash again before deciding on sleeve length.
3 apr - both sleeve caps done and joined in the round. Sleeves in stocking stitch but not sure whether to do purl st either side of cable. Have worked 16 rows of left sleeve (beyond sleeve cap). Measures 8cm. No purl sts on left sleeve.
2 apr - did two extra incr rows for front and back upper body, lengthening armhole to 35 rows (as per size L).
31 mar - finished section 5 (upper front). Not sure that any short rows for bust are needed. Also not entirely sure that the armhole is deep enough. Might need to move up so size L for sleeve. Also contemplating whether to do sleeve in stocking st. I think yes. It might detract some from the charm of the design but I think the double moss st is just too heavy. Anyway, it’s been washed to determine whether arm hole is ok. Hope it dries overnight.
30 mar - finished section 4 (the upper back), 1rpt and 2 rows into section 5 (upper front).
28 mar - section 3 done, 1rpt and 3 rows into section 4
27 mar - section 2 done. First 2 rows of section 3 done.
26 mar 20 - cast on, knit neckline ribbing.

23 mar 20 - range too loose on 6mm, 5.5mm looks good. Swatch finished, Will wash tomorrow.
24 mar 20 - Clara 18sts on 5.5, v loose
25 mar - isager alpaca 2 x2 + ksh, 5.5mm - 17sts. v nice fabric. extra strand of ksh on 6mm not nice
