Notes

Duster Jacket using technique from here (and other fur patterns) make the sleeves alternate fur/not fur. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/my-mink-coat

Maybe start the back with a granny square like any of these? https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/94-11-crochet-bo...

Opting for all granny squares for the body.
Since I have lots of fur left over after the arms, can use it to line the front and the hood (and maybe the bottom?)

7/28-7/29 - did sleeves knit like the LB my mink coat (KIND OF) Used US15 / US8 and single strand of worsted/fur at different times. Will probably have to redo the tops of the sleeves to go with the armholes.

Squares Used:

8/7
- 13 left to make and then i’ll attempt assembling!

Done drying/blocking for the most part, need to weave in ends and assemble

Finished the seams, edges, and redid the top armhole. Will attach the sleeves tomorrow and move on to the border!

48 Squares total, plus sleeves.

Didn’t do a hood, just lined the collar with a knit edging which looks pretty cool. Also lined the top of the arms a little and completely around the body.

Ended up having to rip out an arm and completely reknit the top part because it was uneven.

I used US8 for the regular yarn parts of the sleeves.

TO start I CO 32 sts to get 14.75” around the wrist.

Repeat:
Worked (with US15) 4 rows of Knit with fur yarn, then 10 rows in knit/purl with regular yarn.

Once got to final topmost part of sleeve, (with regular yarn) I did 8 rows in K/P, then as follows:

  1. BO 3 at beginning of row (29)
  2. BO 3 at beginning of row (26)
  3. decrease 1 stitch at beg, and one stitch at end (24) 12-20. as 11 (will end with 6 stitches. BO in pattern.
  • in future, having at odd # at the end might have worked out better to have a center point for the shoulder connection

  • in future I’d probably want to do a few rows of fur in the decreasing section but it was easier just to sew them on this time.

Blocked the entire sweater, lightly sprayed with water because the regular yarn does get kind of hazy.
