1/18/2011 - Washed up nicely and I sewed the buttons on. Now to get a picture of my dad wearing it. :)

1/12/2011 - The knitting is done and the ends are woven in AND I didn’t have to break into the next skein!

1/10/2011 - buttonband and one armhole are done. I can get the other done tomorrow. I think I can make it w/o breaking in to skein 5, but I’m cutting it close!

1/5/2011 - Finished the right front. I’m hoping I can finish everything without having to wind the 5th skein.Once I 3-needle bind off the shoulders, I’m going to pick up and do the front band. If I don’t have enough yarn to seam and do the armhole ribbing I’ll use leftover matching sock yarn for seaming.

12/30/2010 - Finished the left front.

11/23/2010 - Started the front.

11/21/2010 - Back finished.

11/15/2010 - Got through the back up to just before the armholes. I will get through this.

11/10/2010 - Finished the first skein last night about 10 inches into the back.

Modifying to be 2” longer to match other vests my dad wears.

Since I’ll most likely be going to a CPW meetup on the day of my dad’s birthday, I decided to make him something nice (and also my mom got a handspun shawl for her birthday, so I feel like I have to even it out).
