Swatched on 8s and got gauge but didn’t like the fabric. Swatched on 6s and i like the fabric, but gauge is 21 sts x 30 rows for 4”.

I think if I knit the 1-2 yrs size at the smaller gauge and make a few modifications, I will get the ~6-9 month size I’m looking for. I’m going to cast on with 6s and just see how it goes.

I’m being a lazy knitter and not blocking my swatches (or knitting them in the round) but it’s such a tiny sweater that my swatch is already longer than the real sweater body will be and I need to reuse the yarn.

I’m also omitting the garter panels on the sleeves. Haven’t decided yet if I want to knit the ribbing in rainbow colors or pink.

Lol, NOW I learn that there’s a DK version of the pattern and I didn’t need to do the math myself.
