i decided that it is finished.
did not followed the chart anymore, was not so happy with the yarn choices for the shadow parts.
had to put it into the wash again.
hopefully the duplicate stitch will sink in a little bit more.
still need to try on and make proper pictures.

started with the colourwork details.

washed and down for blocking now.
i feel so sorry for this poor thing, i messed up pretty bad. but somehow it just makes me love it even more.

finished the flaps, secured and all.
the knitting part is done!

connecting pieces into the round again.
added a few rows more before decreasing.
oh i love binding off!
but we’re not finished yet…

finished the separated front part.
kept my knit stitches quite loose and it is indeed looking better.

in this state i can at least slightly see how the finished thing might look…too nervous to try it on though!

finished the separated back part.
against better judgement i left my uneven purl/knit rows as they are. i could not find the motivation to rib back and start over.

seperating front and back for the armholes gave me way less headache than expected.
unfortunately i have to purl now.
purling with this yarn is not good. you can see very clearly that my stitches on the purl rows are way to loose. will blocking take care of that? funny how i hope for all the problems with this project that blocking could solve them…

finished the colourwork today, so happy i am done with that! well, of course i still have to put the other three coulours with duplicate stitch on top of it. will see how that will be…

worked till row 12 of chart.
i don’t like colourwork, i am so sorry.
and i am already cheating because i work the whole fawn only in CC1 in Fair Isle and will add all the colours later.

the good news is: i love the softness of the yarn for the fawn against the more rough background yarn. it really is like petting an animal!

finally settled down on 7mm needles after lots of trying and ribbing. worked to the start of the fawn chart.

the ribbed collar looks tiny! like only a child would fit into it. i tried it on, quite difficult with the cable in, and it fits around my shoulders, hopefully blocking will do the trick.

had trouble to get the gauge right. with this yarn my purl stitches are extremely loose and my knit stitches very very tight.
