Knitting: Cowl
A group of friends get together for a weekend getaway the beginning of February. This year I designed a fun little KAL for the group. I hadn’t really planned on doing anything else with it but since everyone is stuck at home and things are crazy, I thought it would be a good time for an extra laugh.

I started these right after our trip to Bristol. We flew in and out of the Charlotte, NC airport. It was the first time in that airport and in Charlotte but we really loved the area even through we were only there for a short time. So to remember our time there, I’m naming these socks after the town.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is a super super easy pattern to knit. Perfect for traveling (especially if you want to look around at the scenery, lol) or if you need a pattern that is easy to pick up and put down and still be able to find exactly where you left off.

Normally I name my socks after the place I’m traveling to while knitting them. I had started these right before we were supposed to go to Mason City, IA, a small town a few hours from here. We didn’t end up making the trip but I decided to stick with the name Mason. The pattern itself is an easy to memorize Gansey style.
Knitting: Thigh-high
The name Fin de Ano means end of the year. I probably should have named them something that had to do with the never ending pattern. I started knitting them last year and was about three-fourths of the way done and put them aside. Not because they were hard or anything, I don’t even remember why now. Then I put them on my todo list for the end ...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I wanted to knit a simple pair of socks while traveling down to Cabo but I didn’t want to just do a basic vanilla type sock. Then I saw a version of this stitch pattern in a book and modified it for socks. It’s super easy to memorize and put down/pick up without loosing your place. But there’s also just enough going on that you don’t get bored....

Like most of my patterns, I name them for where I’m traveling to. Same goes for these. Matt (my dh) and I were on our way to a nearby lake for lunch and some fishing that is next to a small town named Stanton. Between the color and the stitch pattern, it just seemed right.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I designed and knit these socks for the January challenge in the SKA group here on Ravelry. Lace knitting was the challenge for the month, so I gave it a go with these. I really like how they turned out and the pattern is really easy to follow.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I designed and started knitting these on a trip to Cabo San Lucas. Unfortunately, I finished them back in Omaha which is actually a better place for hand knit socks, lol.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
There are two charts for these socks, one for the left and one for the right. But I don’t really see any reason you couldn’t just use one pattern and make both socks the same. I just thought it would be interesting to make the socks mirror images of each other.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I designed and knit these socks on a recent trip to Baltimore. I didn’t really check gauge since I’ve knit a lot of pairs of socks and know that if the pattern calls for a cast on of 64 stitches and I use my US size 1 needles, they’ll fit me. If a different size needles works better for you, please use them.
