Knitting: Animal Toy
This pattern is one of my most favorite patterns to make, and it can be varied as much as you feel like. Don’t have sport weight yarn? No problem! Use what you got, just make sure you pick the right needle size for the yarn - if your needles are too small for the yarn, the fabric will be too stiff to work with, and if they are too big for the y...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Fingerless Gloves
Have you ever read the stories of Pippi Longstocking? I did, and they always inspired in so many ways. So of course there had to be a Pippi-inspired knitting pattern, for those chilly days when you need a hat, a pair of fingerless mittens and some leg warmers.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat was a joint, creative collaboration with my 16 yr old son, where he picked the colors and the stitch, and I decided upon what garment it should be and how to make it. We had so much fun, and we hope you will enjoy this whimsical project as well.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat was inspired by the blueish-green northern lights that I grew up with, and miss dearly. It is my absolute favorite color combination, and I hope you will like it too!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is a pattern for the adventurous knitter, and I must point out that there is very little forgiveness in the fabric of the leg. Keep this in mind, and rather choose the bigger size than the smaller, and instead scale down for the foot if needed. Also, you can add a few more stitched in the turquoise section of the leg to make it a bit wider...

The Viking Age is a period that is often a great source of inspiration for those who knit, with its fantastic ornamentation and different styles. In these mittens, the inspiration comes from the runestone ornamentation. The runestones were not gravestones, but memorials, and sometimes a runestone would be erected as a memorial to dead men.

The story behind the design: On the cuff there are four stripes of varying length in the color of the pattern; one, four, three and then six rows each. These stripes correspond to the number 1436, which is the year Stockholm got its urban privilege. Just above the cuff on the mittens upside is the Western Bridge
