The Cantrip Fingerless Mitts are the first basic ‘knitting spell’ in the Alchemitts collection of the Encyclopedia Knitica. The mitts have been tested with multiple yarn brands in solids, variegated, and self-striping. The pattern is adult one-sized fits most and incredibly stretchy.

This beanie is inspired by the Creepers in Minecraft. It is a playful, quick knit and sure to be a hit with fans of the video game.

All proceeds from this pattern will be donated to ConnecQT, an Avenues for Youth program. ConneQT is a host home program that provides LGBTQI+ youth culturally responsive housing within their community of choice.

This pattern was originally published as a collaboration with Wonderland Yarns & Frabjous Fibers for the May 2022 Garden Society Blossom Club. It was inspired by the Great Occidental Butterfly as described in Volume 5 of “The Naturalist’s Miscellany” by George Shaw published in 1794.

The Coffee Bean Hat has a fun, repeated combination of stitches that create great texture resembling rows of coffee beans. This pattern is appropriate for the Intermediate knitter.
