Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
The winding cables of these fingerless mitts echo a columella, the central coil of a spiral snail shell. They’re knit from the knuckles down with lots and lots (and lots!) of cables, for a huge dose of texture and a comfortable, stretchy fit. The cabling is reversed between the left and right mitts for a neat, mirrored look.

This squishy, stretchy, two-color brioche stitch beanie has swirling decreases at the top that are identical inside and out, making it completely reversible. Better yet, you can make it with any yarn from sock-weight to bulky, and its deep texture looks great with handspun yarn.
