This is a machine knitting pattern fashioned after a traditional German/Dutch hand knitting pattern. There are many variations and this one must be knit on a double bed knitting machine. Since it involves racking to shape the knitting this same method CANNOT be used on a single bed machine.

Any crochet thread of similar thickness can be used for this pattern, however the recommended yarn is very soft and less slippery than other crochet thread.

This little hat can be made to complement many outfits.
