Knitting: Skirt
This skirt is knitted from a very plush yarn by Misti Alpaca. Perfect for Spring and Fall (even Summertime in northern parts).
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks, Beanie, Toque, Mittens
For this baby set, I used just a simple stockinette with some ribbing. The hand-painted colorwork of this very soft yarn is all that was needed. Any elaborate pattern would be lost with the color changes.
Knitting: Shorts
0-3 months old baby shorts are knitted bottom to top in the round. I used a pattern stitch from a Japanese pattern book - if you need help you will be able to watch video tutorials as well (link for a video playlist will be on my blog and also in the pdf.)
Knitting: Ankle Sock
Simple ankle sock with German/Norwegian Cast On, heel flap, turning heel, and gusset. Just one ball of yarn. Video links for lefties and righties included on my blog.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The socks are knitted for people with a US shoe size 6.5 to 7.5. However, one extra repeat of the lacey pattern, which is a 25 stitch/8 row repeat, could accommodate 1 size bigger foot. The toe part is knitted more slanted on one side than on the other.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
A beautiful Japanese lacy stitch pattern used for knitting a baby blanket (when finished measurements are about 28” x 34”) and adult lacy scarf (when finished measurements are about 10” x 66”).
Crochet: Slippers
There is a video that will help you to crochet “0-6 mos” pattern for free at https://youtu.be/0bBl-qCi9cQ
Knitting: Christmas Stocking
This Christmas Stocking has a simple fair isle design (snowflake). The pattern includes the chart of the design and also red text represents the red yarn.
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
This hat is made from doubled yarn. The hat comes with a simple scarf as a bonus. It is knitted on double pointed needles. The two yarns of different colors make this hat interesting looking, so there was no need for more elaborate pattern. Advanced beginner should be able to handle this task, IMHO.
Knitting: Hats - Other
The hat is not that difficult - if you know how to knit on double pointed needles, if you can do purl and knit stitches, and if you can make pom-poms, you can certainly knit this hat.
Knitting: Blanket - Other
A free cocoon pattern. Can be knitted from any 4-5 ply yarn that is doubled… or any thick yarn of your choice that will have 8 stitches in 10-11 rows in 2in x 2 in.
Knitting: Stocking
Only two stitches are involved - purl and knit.
Knitting: Pixie Hat, Mittens, Booties
Booties are not included in this pattern. Their pattern can be found on my blog HERE
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I have created this hat to go with my Very Simple Scarf For Beginners…
Crochet: Earrings

Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
This pattern will be free for one week, until June 6, 2012.
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
Knitting: Hats - Other
This hat is easy to knit even for beginners if they know how to knit on double pointed needles (or on round needles, that are short enough or 90 stitches).
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
The pattern includes tips and images on how to crochet couple of stitches. It has a pattern for adult size hat, and pointers of making a smaller hat with a different edge/brim.
Crochet: Hanging Ornament
This pattern is for an icicle, but if you like to crochet vegetables for your child to play with, you can use some thin orange color yarn and crochet a carrot :-)
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf is supposed to look “different”. You cannot go wrong even if you use different yarn sizes and different tool sizes….
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
I have knitted this hat in couple of hours. It fits just right (firmly) on doll’s head. However if you tend to knit “loosely”, do not worry - it will fit perfectly. If you tend to make your stitches too tight, use your needles one size bigger. Or add 6 extra stitches (one extra stitch between each of the snowflakes). Any questions? Send me a me...
