Crochet: Throw
This is a variation of the stitch used in Granny Squares made evenly (instead of alternating placement of blocks) and in rows from side to side using a post stitch in the center of the block to give a raised or ribbed effect every group of 6 rows.
Crochet: Slippers
This is a variation on my original Etta’s Friends Slippers pattern but using a Suzette stitch instead of Hdc. Also using a sc, dc variation to make a Wavy look. In general, it is the best I remember from my Grandma making house slippers for friends and family back in the 70s.
Crochet: Slippers
This is the best I remember from my Grandma making house slippers for friends and family back in the 70s. I have tweaked it a little to keep the symmetry and shape in tact. Depending on weight of yarn or size of hook you can make a child’s size, an adult ladies small (5-6), medium (7-8) or large (9-10 which may also work for a men’s medium).
Crochet: Chart
This is a graph pattern only to show how I assembled blocks of c2c to make a Carpenter Wheel main piece with several rows of join-as-you-go border. It isn’t really intended to teach you how to do Corner to Corner crochet.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This is a simple baby beanie in a lacy version for girls and a basic stripe version for boys. Worked in basic ch, sc and dc stitches. In most cases, it can be worked up in less than 2 hours.

I like adding imagery to the pattern name when a stitch reminds me of something. Also because my grandmothers were so special to me, I add their name to make a piece special. This is for my great-grandma Rena who loved flowers and when this stitch came together for me, it reminded me of a basket. One of my favorite flowers is a lily, so now we ...
Crochet: Afghan block
This is a variation of a Granny Square starting with the normal first two rounds usually seen and then a series of extra blocks to first create an octagonal star and then back to four sides.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is a variation of a Granny Square starting with the normal first two rounds usually seen and then a series of chains and blocks to give a more lacy appearance.
Crochet: Potholder
This is a pattern I used to make two simple potholders, one with a fpdc and the other with a dc spike stitch. Both are about 7” H x 6” W when the border is added.
Crochet: Shrug / Bolero
I used an Arcade stitch I found on New Stitch a Day (link should be noted in this post) to create a shrug crocheted in one continuous rectangular piece, folded in half side-to-side and joined together for just 12” from each of the ends to form sleeves.
Crochet: Scarf
This is not intended to be an instruction for C2C. It is just to show how I designed a holiday-specific graphic using a C2C stitch.

Crochet: Afghan block
This can be worked in any type yarn you desire depending on what you want to use the square for. You could make 35 or so and sew them together for a very lacy blanket or you could mix them with a traditional granny square with the result being a mix in looks and texture.
Crochet: Throw
This is a pattern to show how I assembled blocks of c2c to make a patchwork. It isn’t really intended to teach you how to do Corner to Corner crochet.
