Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This intermediate shawl is collaboration between Caryn Moir and Jennifer Miller (the artistic genius behind Theodora’s Pearls!). It’s a good project for knitters who want to build on their sock yarn shawl skills. You’ll begin with a tab start, then work through a striping section and finish with a lace edge. The stockinette/garter fields show o...
Crochet: Baby Blanket
This crocheted blanket can be easily adapted to any size, any weight yarn and any fiber. It uses a main color (MC) and then several contrast colors (CC), making it a good choice if you are trying to use up stash yarn scraps. A 7-stitch double bobble creates the hearts and you can amend the pattern to any size based on a multiple of 7 plus 1 sti...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This easy shawl is a good start for knitters who want to learn to make sock yarn shawls. The stockinette field on each wing shows off pretty hand dyed yarn really well and the end result will look like you worked much harder than you did. If you’re a little more adventurous, you can easily modify this pattern to incorporate fancier stitch patte...
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This hat has an ultra-stretchy band because it uses a cotton yarn that has elastic in it, Cascade’s Fixation. I designed this in cotton for those who want a warm weather hat and also have tender skin - these yarns make for a great chemo cap. You can, of course, make the hat with wool fibers as well.
Knitting: Cowl
Fast? Check.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Looking for a stylish and quick project? This one is great for gift giving because it’s fast and cute!
Knitting: Scarf
An Ascot is a neckband with wide, pointed wings (thanks Wikipedia!). When tying a knitted scarf, we often find the portion wrapped around your neck is too thick. This pattern follows the Ascot concept by narrowing the center portion of the scarf, leaving the ends much wider, making it easy to tuck under a collar.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
There is no specific gauge for this pattern, because you simply work until it’s big enough!
