Knitting: Cardigan
I wanted to knit a cardigan that was light and warm, perfect for those in-between days, when you can’t figure out if you’re a little too warm or a little too cold. The cardigan is worked from the top, and increases are made to the front while the shoulders are shaped. The shoulder stitches are rested while the body is worked, and because I ran ...
Crochet: Toy Food
I found these simply adorable, teeny tiny cupcake patty pans and just wanted to make amigurumi cupcakes that will fit them – and so, these teeny tiny cupcakes were born! Calorie-free, these cupcakes are a delight to make and hold.
Knitting: Pullover
Intended to fit a 38” bust, this is a comfortably warm sweater, with a cable pattern running down the left side to keep the knitting interesting.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
I wanted to try my hand at making a roomier, lace bolero, perfect for transitional weather such as spring and autumn. When I came across a lace pattern called Ladybird Pattern in “The Haapsalu Shawl”, the name really appealed to me. Thus, the Ladybird Shawl was born!
Crochet: Toy Food
Although I’ve suggested using DK weight yarn, and a 3.00mm crochet hook, feel free to use any weight yarn but just be sure to use a smaller crochet hook (eg, if you’re using worsted weight yarn, use a 4.00mm crochet hook).
Crochet: Toy Food, Softies - Other
Use any weight yarn you desire - worsted for perhaps an adult to hold, or anything as fine as fingering or DK for a child’s hand.
Knitting: Throw, Baby Blanket
I wanted to make a baby blanket for a friend who was expecting. When I saw the yarn, I couldn’t find a pattern that would adequately cover my needs for the blanket to be reversible, and yet colourful, but it didn’t take long for an idea to form about how to make a super easy, and colourful baby blanket. Once I finished, I found that it could ei...
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
Do you have a special, single, skein of yarn that you’ve been reluctant to make socks out of, and are super-keen on making something that you could wear to show it off instead? When I recently inherited some yarn from my sister (which fortuitously turned out to be 100g in weight), I decided to make this!
Knitting: Cowl
Trying to find a cowl that suited men was nearly impossible, so I decided to make this one up myself. It features twisting coils of reflecting cables, and lots of stretch so that it can go over your head and still be quite snug around your neck. Because of how the k2, p2 ribbing turned out, when I turned the finished product the other way aroun...
Knitting: Cowl
Wanting to make a warm, stretchy cowl, and inspired by http://briochestitch.com/brioche/index.php?option=com_con..., here’s my pattern for a stretchy, reversible cowl that can be worn as a single layer, or worn doubled.
Crochet: Animal Toy
This was a design inspired by a friend’s drawing of what he saw in the clouds :)
