Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knit flat using only one color per row, and only using knit and slipped stitches. It’s finished with a seam using mattress stitch after blocking. You will cast on the total width, so if you want to adjust the circumference, you’ll need to adjust your cast on amount.

Dragon Scales is a triangular shawl with a slipped stitch pattern for the body and a lace border. The slipped stitch pattern makes a lovely right and wrong side and the stripes add some interest. The pattern is simple enough for an adventurous beginner, but changes often enough to keep you on your toes!

This light weight cowl is an easy knit that shows off beautiful hand dyed yarns well. The pattern includes instructions for a provisional cast on with grafting, or a traditional cast on an sew method. The pattern was designed to use 5 colors from the Wonderland Yarns mini skeins of Cheshire Cat, but could be done with 2 or 3 colors as well.

This pattern is really fun to knit! You work the body and the edging at the same time, so when you bind off, you’re done! No picking up sts for an edge. The pattern is designed to use as much of 1 skein of laceweight yarn as possible, so you can use pretty much any yarn you like.
