Crochet: Bedspread
Traditional granny squares make fabulous blankets and by using colour, the variations are infinite. They are easy enough for beginners and are wonderful for on the go crochet or for when you’re watching TV.
Knitting: Animal Toy
The source of the world’s best Merino wool, you will find these sheep dotted around the hills of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. With a little help, the pattern for this little sheep is easy enough for a child who is learning to knit.
Knitting: Pullover
This little pullover, inspired by the little lamb buttons, looks more complicated than it is. Using slipped stitches to create the colour pattern means you only work with one colour at a time.
Knitting: Rug
A little sunshine looks good on any floor and is extra special when its hand knit in luxuriously thick and soft pure cotton yarn. This mat is worked in the round on 2 circular needles using stocking stitch, reverse stocking stitch and garter stitch and is finished with an i-cord cast off and bobbles.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
Here’s a perfect cover up for cool summer evenings and early autumn days. The “scarf” is worked on larger than usual needles to produce an extra soft fabric and the back with 2 strands of yarn held together to give it body. Wear it right side up or upside down for 2 distinctly different looks.
Knitting: Toeless Sock
These are a quick knit using an Aran weight yarn and are great stash busters. If you prefer to use a finer yarn, just increase the number of stitches accordingly.
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
Knitted in one piece from side to side, this garter stitch cardigan has an interesting construction. I used 4.5mm needles and Aran weight yarn for size 6 – 9 months, for a younger baby use smaller needles and DK yarn and use larger needles and chunky yarn for a size 12 – 18 months.
Knitting: Dress
A cool little cotton dress for the summer. Worked from the middle, the bodice is knit first and then the skirt added on. Because the bodice is worked in single rib, which has a lot of give, this little dress will fit from about 6 – 12 months and a tension swatch is not necessary. Made from 12 crochet granny squares, knit together and then stitched onto a fabric cushion cover, these scatter cushions will brighten up even the darkest corners of your couch. They’re also wonderful stash busters and make great gifts.
Knitting: Pullover
Knitted from side to side using an assortment of yarns and stitch patterns, this pullover has flattering vertical stripes and beautiful texture and best of all each one will be unique. It is a loose fitting soft knit and the instructions are written for any and every size.
Knitting: Toy Mobile
These chickens, rooster, hen and chicks, are made into a mobile but you can knit them up as toys instead if you prefer and if you’d like them bigger, just used thicker yarn and larger needles. They are perfect for a nursery or children’s rooms or even as decor in your kitchen.

There is nothing better when stepping out of your bath, than sinking your feet into a luxurious pure cotton bath mat.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Warm and soft, cute and cuddly, this blanket is perfect for a new baby or even a toddler. Knit in linen stitch with a moss stitch border, the blanket is an easy knit. The applique elephant is also easy to do and the freestyle tree is a little more challenging.
Knitting: Throw
Wonderful warm knitting for cold evenings, make this blanket in whatever size you’d like. The instructions here include a 6 stitch wide garter stitch border; you could make it as wide as you prefer. This blanket is a great stash buster or you may prefer to choose specific yarn.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
A soft, warm, casual cap that can be worn by any one - knit on smaller than usual needles to give a firm fabric. This cap is suitable for the average knitter, includes a simple fairisle pattern in 2 contrasting colours and is embellished with a pompom. The brim is knit seperately so you can choose to leave it off if you prefer.

Knitting: Beret, Tam
This beret is worked from the centre of the crown out and then embellished with a centre button. The crown of the beret is worked in garter stitch using short rows to produce 8 wedges. A section of single crochet and an area of reverse stocking stitch add texture. If you don’t want to add the crochet, this section can be knit instead.

Knitting: Beret, Tam
This beret was designed for a friend who wanted something different to the usual chemo caps. It is knit from the centre of the crown out and then embellished with a centre button so the pattern can be easily altered to fit anyone. Worked in very soft pure merino wool and kid mohair, it is perfect for cooler weather.
Knitting: Vest
This gilet is knit straight from side to side. The armholes are made by knitting in waste yarn which is removed later. It uses an assortment of yarn.
Knitting: Tote
This is a great pattern for using up little bits of yarn - the more the merrier. Make your’s different by working in different stitch patterns too!
Knitting: Brooch
Make just one or a whole flock. You can change their size by changing the size of the knitting needles you use. Use up any scraps of yarn you have - imagine a multi-coloured, patterned flock. Their head and legs are made from craft wire bent into shape to fit the fleece.
Knitting: Poncho
An easy knit, this poncho can be made to fit any size.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
Just right for when you need a little extra warmth on your shoulders. It can be knitted in the round on circular needles or in stocking stitch on straight needles (which will require a centre back seam). These instructions will enable you to make any size shrug.
