Knitting: Bag - Other
I needed a break from the saga writing that my patterns have developed into and went looking for a small project that would work as a gift for a friend. He’s a gamer and proud geek, and his girl is a wonderful knitter - so I had to come up with something good.

Per request, here’s an angel to balance the devil on the other shoulder. She’s a wee thing, with big eyes and little wings.

Everybody needs an anti-hero right? Now pattern includes instructions for a slip-on sleeve to give the little guy a Hellboy costume.
Knitting: Animal Toy
Just a fun little bat to whip up. Basic stitching, increasing and decreasing give you a bat with clippy little feet to perch on, and posable wings to stretch out or curl around him for a nap. He can even hang upside down in true bat fashion. Perfect for a last minute gift or just a small fix to tide you over until October and Halloween. Finishe...

Break out the little umbrellas! If you’ve overloaded on the cute, are looking for something a little different or maybe a gift appropriate for a particular person or just a mascot, this pattern works. I was really starting to worry if I was going to make it out of my friend’s workshop without him stealing it.
Knitting: Cuffs
When my ex-Navy stepdad had a stroke and went into rehab, I wanted to knit something useful that would also show my support and immediately thought of those ugly terry cloth wristbands people use to keep their grip from slipping. The result is a tightly knit cotton wristband with ribbing to keep it snug and an embossed anchor to keep it interes...
Knitting: Animal Toy
Since I’m constantly playing with string in one form or another, I get alot of cat and spider jokes. Once I had just a little bit of some lucious buffalo/merino handspun (less than 100 yds) and I really wanted to have it where I could pet it. So I knit a little spider to attach to my knitting bag. He was so popular with my guy’s little girl (10...

Inspired by one of mankind’s oldest works of art, the Venus of Willendorf, this little soft sculpture was my way of celebrating knitting in general and the glorious colors of Noro Kureyon in particular. Everyone needs a knitting goddess now and then.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
A companion pattern for Wooly Wormhead’s lovely Meret Mystery Beret. Great beginning lace pattern or use up the rest of a skein. Yardage listed is approximate, it was definitely less than one skein of Malabrigo.
Knitting: Brimmed Hat
This pattern has two basic hat shapes ready for whatever your imagination might be ready to throw at them. First is a full size top hat, by popular demand. Second is a wide brimmed hat perfect for pirates. It can also be used to make a priest, Zorro or cavalier type hat. Finished sizes can be blocked 20-24”

Infinitely customizable pigtail/dog ear/mini bun-friendly hat. If you prefer to wear your hair up, but love hats, this is a great option. The pigtail holders can be long or short, ribbed or rolled. Worked from the top down, easy to fit and accurately place pigtail holes. I’ve seen a few people wearing one similar, but have not been able to find...
Knitting: Brimmed Hat
A frivolous bit of whimsy that is easy and addictive to knit. I won’t admit how many of these I’ve made. A wonderful canvas to decorate extravagantly, it makes a great finish to a period or steampunk outfit. I made a black one for my Halloween costume (black widow) last year and tucked a ball of sock yarn up under my hat and knitted all night.
Knitting: Kerchief
This is a simple head scarf that is wonderful for stash busting, or highlighting that special limited-yardage yarn you’ve been saving for just the right project.
