A herringbone effect is created with spike stitches. Any supple sport weight yarn in two colors can be used.
Crochet: Beret, Tam
This slouchy hat begins with single crochet ribbing for bottom of hat, then work the lovely Diamond pattern (aka Catherine’s Wheel) in any self-striping worsted. There is no shaping, just close the top by weaving in a strand of yarn and pulling it tight.
Crochet: Cloche Hat
This slouchy hat can be worn lots of ways. Worked bottom up in two colors, with colors carried on the inside, so no cutting of yarn. There is a very short seam at the top. This wavy stitch is one of my favorites!
Crochet: Scarf
This unique triangle scarf is based on a small floral motif made with puff stitches. I found the motif in an old pattern book. The border is made of Solomon’s Knots.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Make this lovely wrap with your favorite fingering/sport yarn! The stitch is mesmerizing and you’ll get many compliments.
Crochet: Vest
This gorgeous lace top is worked in the round - as a tube -- with no shaping. The cowl is simply an extension of the same tube. So simple!
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
Now available with diagrams to make the pattern easier to follow.

Crochet: Coat / Jacket
This Louet yarn is no longer available. I recommend light worsted with some fluff/fuzz. This is almost identical pattern to Elvira, which is worked with more conventional yarn so stitch and row counts are different.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Crochet: Sleeveless Top
In three sizes, to fit a range of bodies.
Crochet: Cape
One Skein Only! This pattern includes a stitch diagram. Solomon’s Knot is a wonderful, easy stitch.
