This shawl uses a swing knitting technique, which allows for a colour change on every row of the work, as well as a stocking stitch/slip stitch pattern throughout the body of the shawl and a knit on lace edging.

This is a very utilitarian, but beautiful little mitten pattern that uses the same techniques as Dorothy’s Slip Stitch Spiral Knit Socks that many knitters seem to enjoy. The mittens can be made from left over yarns from other projects, are quick and unassuming, hence “No Name.”

Dorothy, Mad About Ewe’s beloved knitting sage, has been knitting these socks for years. Truly, the only thing better than self-striping sock yarn, is using two balls of self-striping sock yarn together. They are great fun and we think it might be the cure for second sock syndrome.
