Knitting: Mittens
These adorable mittens feature folk art sheep on the back of the hand and palms worked in traditional Chipman’s Block pattern. They have generous ribbed cuffs and simple afterthought thumbs.
Knitting: Food Cozy
Kids AND adults will love these whimsical egg cosies. Each cosy requires only a small amount of leftover fingering weight yarn. Sock yarns work well. Assorted Size 6 seed beads work for the sprinkles. They are topped with hand-felted cherries (instructions included for making the cherries).
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Corrugated ribbing at the top corresponds with vertically striped heel flaps. A small amount of contrasting yarn is used for these stripes. A very good use for leftover sock yarn! The heel flap provides cushioning and durability and it looks good, too. This sock features a round toe.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks feature an attractive mock cable stitch which travels rights down the instep and also down the heel flap. The textured stitch is a good choice for a man’s sock but it’s still fun to knit. The toe fits well but doesn’t require grafting.
Knitting: Scarf
A manly scarf that won’t bore the knitter, this scarf is made up of 12 different stitch patterns. They are simple, old-time patterns that provide lots of texture and interest. A scarf a man will actually wear!
