Donna Raye’s Dolls is the first in my series of ensembles for 7.5 inch and 5 inch Berenguer baby dolls. Originally made in baby yarn for a 7.5 inch soft-bodied “Lots to Cuddle” Baby, these outfits are also a perfect fit for the 5 inch “Lots to Love” baby when made with size 10 crochet cotton.

These nine elegant blossom-centered snowflakes, made with size 10 white/pearl or colored metallic crochet cotton and trimmed with pearl beads, add sparkle to holiday fashions, packages, or décor – or as sun-catchers year round! Each measures approximately 3” - 3-1/4” across.

I had a lot of fun with this pattern set. What started out as a simple dress for the March/April 2021 issue of Doll Castle News magazine evolved into an ensemble that allows you to mix and match colors, components, and accessories to create several different outfits from the same basic pattern pieces.

I had help designing Connor’s Crayons Afghan from a young friend who loved my Ziggy-Zaggy Baby Afghans, but thought the pastel colors were just too boring. He drew me a picture of a lengthwise ripple afghan and colored it with vibrant red, yellow, and blue. I liked it!

“Myrande’s Christening” was the first in my series of ensembles for 7.5 inch and 5 inch Berenguer baby dolls -- it is included in my Donna Raye’s Dolls pattern set, but has also gained popularity as a “Solo” thanks to its selection for inclusion in the 2011 Crochet Pattern A Day Calendar.

Several years ago, Taylor, the daughter of a friend, asked Santa Claus for a nice bed for her favorite baby doll, Annabelle.
