Crochet: Afghan block
I am not a fan of granny squares usually but I saw a picture of Jane Crowfoots pattern for Chinese Lantern shaped granny “squares” and decided to create my own. I named this pattern after my son Tom who has always made me proud to be his mom.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
Gauge isn’t all that important in a washcloth. I usually have to use one size smaller needle than what the yarn calls for due to the looseness of my knitting. I’d start out with what Lily’s Sugar n Cream calls for (size 7) and adjust from there. Enjoy! :)
Knitting: Electronics Cozy
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
If you prefer a more symmetrical looking cloth, then knit 6 rows at the beginning and 6 rows at the end. I like the asymmetrical look so I used a smaller border (4 rows) at the top and bottom.

Knitting: Ankle Sock
I created this sock pattern for my final project in my knitting DeCal class at UC Berkeley. A biologist friend, Allison who works in the field had difficulty finding wool socks that 1) fit her and 2) look somewhat feminine, so I decided to design this pair especially for her.
