Knitting: Rug
Recycled tee shirts are cut into loops and then strips that are joined for a riot-of-color rug. Black corners help tie it all together. Or you can make it in more traditional color scheme.
Knitting: Potholder
Double knit, reversible potholder. Instructions to knit with black widow motif on one side, plain spider on the other.
Knitting: Market bag (slouchy)
My version of a string bag has the features that are important to me: lightweight, narrowed top, integral handles that are just the right length, no seams, minimal yardage, stretchy. Functional! Stretches to hold as much or more than a standard plastic grocery bag.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Machine knit on Passap DM80 knitting machine. Size can be varied infinitely. Size shown is 15 width repeats and 57 length repeats. Suitable for any very fine wool or wool blend.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Fun hat based on Barbara G. Walker’s Lambs’ Tails stitch pattern. Instructions are for worsted weight adult size, with specs given for other yarn weights and other sizes, along with variations. Flexible pattern that you can use with many yarns!
Knitting: Poncho
A raglan without the sleeves, this top-down, circular knit poncho was designed to be flexible. Numbers are given at the end of the pattern for different yarn weights and gauges, as well as multiple sizes. Because it’s knit from top to bottom, it’s a perfect stash-busting project. Stop when you run out!
