Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This 16” x 70” wrap is soft and cuddly. It can also be folded or “squooshed” to be worn as a thick scarf.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a hat that will keep you quite warm without causing “hat hair”. One skein of about 100 yards of a super-bulky but soft yarn makes this a quick project. A small amount of worsted yarn in coordinating colors is used to either make a closer fit around the ears or to make a denser crown -- and to add a felted flower embellishment if desired.
Knitting: Purse / Handbag
This bag, featuring a mosaic pattern, is worked in the round, with a bottom seam. Use an elasticized cotton such as Cascade Fixation or Elann Esprit for the main color. You can use any firm, smooth DK or worsted tonal, variegated or self-striping yarn for the contrasting color.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Uses either Elann Esprit or Cascade Fixation
Knitting: Cowl
Worked in Katherine’s lovely hand-dyed alpaca at Ewetopia in Viroqua, WI. This is a very simple lace pattern knit on the diagonal (start at one corner, increase to desired width, knit straight for a while, decrease to create the other corner.) The short ends are then seamed together to form a loop that will drape like a cowl. This is very quick...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
finished size approxiately 13” x 62”
Knitting: Cardigan
Pattern errata: the last row in the 16-row five braid cable is mislabled 14 instead of 15. And one detail I left off the finishing section: pick up the stitches from the holder at the top of the pocket and work on smaller needles in rib stitch for about 1/2 inch. Bind off.
Knitting: Vest
No gauge or yarns are listed because this vest can use many types from your stash. It is ready for simple calculations based on your swatch, and as a side-to-side knit, you simply keep going until it is the desired width. The pattern will be available as a free Ravelry download pdf as soon as the designer hook-up is completed.
