Crochet: Cowl
This pattern gives a highly textured and vibrant cowl. The name comes from the fact that not only is it a warm and embracing, cosy cowl, but that aspects of each stitch pattern involve ‘embracing’ other stitches.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This fun shawl is worked in bands of moss stitch, separated by eyelet rows. Both the straight end and the staggered end feature twirly tassels.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
The Farm Gate Shawl pattern is worked with a 4.50mm hook and lace-weight yarn and uses a single stitch pattern throughout to make an open, lightweight and drapey shawl that doubles as a scarf. I used a silk yarn but it would also work with other fibres.
Crochet: Cowl
My Pebbles and Paths was created with a combination of regular and knobbly stitch patterns that give a pleasing juxtaposition of textures in a cosy winter cowl. It uses a 5.00mm hook with Great Southern Yarn’s beautiful, soft, 8-ply (DK weight) merino yarn but obviously you can use any nice soft 8-ply.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Use this pattern to create a versatile, textured crocheted beanie suitable for all. I was inspired by a cartwheel on a cobbled street to create the rays and textured area.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Use this pattern to create a colourful ribbed crocheted beanie with eight variations: plain or striped, with or without a shaggy pom-pom, with or without a turned-up brim. This has been written for Great Southern Yarn’s 5-ply (sport) yarn but is easily adapted to different weights and yarns. It’s super simple to make and is a great handmade gift.

My Kooky Cowl was created in partnership with Great Southern Yarn for their beautiful, soft, 5-ply (sport weight) merino yarn. It uses a 7.00mm hook and a simple stitch pattern that works up quickly. The Kooky can be made in small and snuggly (cream and yellow), medium and more relaxed (dark pink) or large and loose. The corners of each side ar...

Truly a scarf for Covid times. This Resilience Scarf pattern was designed in response to the trials and tribulations of those unprecedented years. Let’s hope that the stresses and strains we’ve experienced can lead to a blossoming of new ideas and insights.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Flight of Fancy is an adaption of my Wings Shawl pattern, created in partnership with Great Southern Yarn for their glorious single spun 4-ply Merino yarn. It is worked with a 4.00mm hook and uses a simple stitch pattern. It is also available in kit form through the GSY website (https://greatsouthernyarn.com) with a beautiful selection of yarn ...
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This is my original crochet pattern for a rectangular super-fine lace shawl. It is very delicate and worked in lace-weight yarn with a 3.00mm hook and a simple stitch pattern. One half is worked first, followed by the joining zig-zag and the second half of the shawl. I’ve labelled it as requiring intermediate level crochet skills.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This pattern lets you create a colourful crocheted beanie with horizontal and vertical stripes. This is a great scrap-busting pattern that is perfect for using up leftover bits of 8-ply (DK) yarn. Can be easily adapted for small, standard or large sizes and suits women, men and children. Uses front-post stitches to create raised rays that cross...
