Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This wonderfully soft and squishy yarn just begs to be knit into cozy accessories. The cable and lace pattern that I incorporated into this hat remind me of the tracks that snowshoes leave on a winter’s walk. I have written this pattern in 2 sizes, the child’s size fits a smaller head, while the adult size will comfortably stretch to fit a rath...
Knitting: Scarf
The rustic nature of this yarn seemed perfect for this type of accessory. An extra long scarf that you can wrap round and round your neck to keep all of the elements at bay.
Knitting: Scarf
I love to visit Cape Kiwanda along the Oregon Coast. While missing this special spot, I noticed these colors in my yarn stash. They reminded me of the colors of the dune and the sandstone.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fingerless gloves, worked in textured, gansey type stitches, remind me of a rocky shoreline. After some web image surfing, I came across Antrim, which is a rocky shoreline in Ireland.
Knitting: Leggings
Worked from the top down, you can try these on as you go, making sure that your shaping is matching your body. They are also a great project for using up leftover skeins of yarn, giving you the option of some wildly striped leggings.
Knitting: Cowl
A fun, colorful cowl, perfect for a beginning knitter. A good project to cut your teeth on and give you confidence for working in the round with more than 1 color.
