North Arrow is a garter stitch scarf with a short-row triangle and chevron stripes. High contrast colors were chosen to highlight the simple geometric pattern, and a cashmere blend yarn was chosen to indulge both knitter and wearer.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Vertical lines are set against horizontal in these One to Ten socks. The leg is knit in stockinette and punctuated by purl ridges, which become less and less frequent as you make your way from ribbed cuff to short-row heel. The sock is ribbed along the foot for a snug fit and a pleasing look.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Here is a simply constructed sock, knit from its cuff to its toe, with a short-row heel in between. While the foot is worked in smooth stockinette, the ankle is embellished with three bands of ruching, its pleats and folds highlighting the delicate shine of this silk-spiked sock yarn.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Interrupted is a sock that satisfies the urge to knit simply and quickly, in an easily memorizable pattern with a slightly different look. Knit from cuff to toe, with a short-row heel in between, Interrupted is simple enough to allow variegated yarn to shine and interesting enough to support a more subdued color.
