Knitting: Scarf
This is an uncomplicated yet elegant pattern for a great scarf, with enough detail to make even simple colors come alive. I suggest a fairly tight gauge to place the emphasis on the stitchwork. It’s also easy to adjust the pattern width as desired. Makes a great gift; mother-in-law tested and approved! :)
Knitting: Baby Blanket
A blanket with an elegant lace border, this pattern is quick and easy to knit. The pattern uses simple stitches and a repeating lace design. Gauge is not critical for this project, and both length and width are adjustable.
Knitting: Pullover
This is my first knitted sweater, as simple as I could make it. Boat neck, no ribbing, 3/4 sleeves, with just enough waist and sleeve shaping to add a bit of elegance. Top-down construction means no seaming!
Crochet: Baby Blanket
Canadian friends had a baby in January and the idea of giving them a thick, extra-warm blanket appealed to me. The pattern is simple and easy, two stitches alternated to form a thick basketweave, with a decorative fan border around the whole.
