Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This dishcloth is a great first project for anyone learning to knit. I designed it to use in a Learn to knit class at my LYS. It uses only the basics: cast on, knit, purl and bind off.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat variation of my “Road to Joy Shawl” incorporates my favorite stitches from my Road to Joy Shawl, BRICKS! They’re so great for showing off color changing yarns.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl variation of my “Road to Joy Shawl” incorporates all of the beautiful stitches in the shawl, including my favorite…Bricks! They’re so great for showing off color changes.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The brick pattern in this shawl reminds me of a cobblestone road. It’s my favorite section in this shawl! Therefore, it’s a Road (Ode) to Joy! And who doesn’t need that in 2020?
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Hygge (pronounced hue-guh) is a Danish word used to describe a quality of coziness, comfort and contentment. This pocket wrap is knit using worsted weight yarn on a size US11 needle making it super soft, squishy, cozy, and, well….hygge!
Knitting: Baby Blanket
After my crocheted Modern Stripes Baby Blanket was featured on Berroco’s Designer Blog, I had requests for a knit version. Like the crochet version, it’s easy enough for beginners but the texture and color changes make it interesting and fun to work. It’s easy to adjust to a different size too depending on the yardage of your yarn (the pattern ...
Crochet: Baby Blanket
A modern take on the baby blanket. With alternating single crochet and simple patterned stripes, it works up quickly and is easy enough for even new crocheters. It’s easy to adjust to a different size too depending on the yardage of your yarn. This would be beautiful done in just two colors too. Plus, it’s completely reversible!
Crochet: Cowl
This cowl is crocheted with bulky yarn and an extra big hook to make a squishy, drapey and warm cowl. It fits close around the neck without being tight and is extra tall for pulling up to keep even your ears and face warm. Sure to keep your neck warm no matter what winter throws at you. Think this would be cute as an infinity cowl too. Just sta...
Knitting: Doll Clothes - Other
I had a blast making dolls to look like each of our family members. My teenage son is forever running around in short sleeve T-shirts with some funny graphic on the front. I made some revisions to one of the shirt patterns in the Arne & Carlos book to come up with this T-shirt. I typed the pattern up off of my notes from when I made it. I h...
Knitting: Doll Clothes - Other
I had a blast making dolls to look like each of our family members. My husband wanted his to be wearing a Henley. I made some revisions to one of the shirt patterns in the Arne & Carlos book to come up with this shirt. I typed the pattern up off of my notes from when I made it. I haven’t knit one directly off the typed up pattern so I apolo...
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
I designed this hat for a class to teach people just learning to crochet some new skills. It’s worked in a spiral from the top down using basic crochet stitches. The pattern looks complicated but is made using just single crochet, half-double crochet and double crochet. The pattern includes instructions for the bow to fit all 4 sizes of the hat...
Knitting: Doll Clothes - Other
I had a blast making dolls to look like each of our family members. My teenage son loves zippered hoodies so his doll definitely needed to have one too. I made some revisions to one of the patterns in the Arne & Carlos book to come up with this sweatshirt. I typed the pattern up off of my notes from when I made it. I haven’t knit one direct...
Knitting: Doll Clothes - Other
I had a blast making dolls to look like each of our family members. My husband is partly bald and what little hair he has he shaves off. So that meant no hair for his doll. He wears a lot of baseball caps though, his favorite being his Detroit Tigers cap. I made some revisions to the pattern for the dolls head in the Arne & Carlos book to c...
