Crochet: Toy Plant
This can be worked in any weight yarn; gauge is not important! If you are using a jumbo weight yarn, you will need 2 skeins of each color. Anything lighter and you can get many mushrooms from one skein. Worked in a chunky yarn, the mushroom at my gauge ended up about 6” tall. Worked in a jumbo yarn, it ends up nearly 2 feet tall.
Crochet: Softies - Other
Worked in continuous rounds, this round bottom flask works up quickly. Gauge is not important, as it is a toy, just be sure to use a hook 2 or 3 sizes smaller than your yarn weight recommends so stuffing will not show through your stitches. Safety eyes are possible for flasks not intended for children under 3, and a variety of facial expression...
Crochet: Animal Toy
Made with worsted weight yarn, Andy will be about 8” long. Feel free to play around, though! Want a monster Andy? Use bulky or super bulky. A tiny Andy? Use thread. Worked as stated in the pattern, you will need a small scrap of the horn color, and less than a skein of worsted yarn.
Crochet: Booties
A cross between a slipper and a sock, this fitted bootie has simple construction and a tie at the ankle to help keep in place. A project that can be completed in an evening.
Knitting: Earwarmers
Chunky knits make for super quick projects! Perfect for the beginner knitter just venturing into cables, or more advanced knitters looking for a great gift. Gauge is not terribly important, as you may add or remove repeats to fit a particular head size.
Crochet: Softies - Other
This is a pattern for a crochet test tube. Three different “fill” types are included. Gauge/yarn is not important to this project, as long as you can stuff it! This is a quick project perfect for the science lover in your life.
