Knitting: Hats - Other
This is a quick, less than a skein knit. I created the colorway “Dissent” after the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I needed a sample knit for the colorway, and this “Pussy Hat” was a must for the yarn. I knit this myself in a few hours making the pattern up as I went along. I’m going to use the rest of the skein for either some fingerless mitts ...
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knit flat using a provisional cast on and basic cable repeats. The cowl can be easily sized for anyone. Just knit in pattern until the piece can go off and on over your head.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks are knit toe up so can be easily sized to fit your own foot. I created the pattern sized for my big ole size 9 foot to make sure that an average sized pair of socks could be knit with one of my mini skein sets. I have two skeins of one contrast color, two skeins of a main color and then one skein of a second contrast color. So I wan...
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knit top of collar down and uses basic increases. It’s a fun fast easy knit. Good for a novice knitter and fun for advanced knitters as well!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is knit in the round and I suggested bulky for this pattern but you can use any worsted and just add stitches to the cast on.
Knitting: Boot Cuffs / Toppers
this pattern is a quick easy knit. It uses less than one skein of any worsted weight yarn and is a great stash buster. You can adjust the length of the topper by adding more cable repeats.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
I knit these socks with my foot in mind. A size 9. This pattern is so easily adjustable just by adding or removing two stitches at the cast on and adjusting the length of stockinette you knit when making the foot. You can just try them on as you go to get the perfect fit, or like I did you the handy heel2toe ruler from Wild Stitchers (on Etsy)....
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mitts are a compliment to the Ribbed for Your Pleasure Hat pattern and feature a cute ribbed cuff that can be adjusted in length by simple adding more repeats of the ribbed rows.
Knitting: Cloche Hat
This hat pattern is knit flat and starts with larger needles (8) going down to a size 6 needle to create a slope effect and accent the vintage style of this design. I start with a provisional cast on and bind off using the 3 needle bind off on the rights side of the fabric but turn the seamed tube inside out and use the wrong side of the fabric...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is another version of my “texting mitts” that incorporates a staghorn cable stitch into the front of the mitt. Decreasing rounds in the final rows of the top of the mitt and the thumb creates a more form fit and leave the fingers exposed for texting, or in my case, for knitting!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a colorful slouchy style hat. it is one size and you can adjust the “slouch” in the hat by adding additional rib sections.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mitts are fun and funky! They keep your hands warm but free to text and for me, to KNIT!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a terrific slouchy style hat that uses a twisted German cast on and twisted stitches to create a nice texture and design on what would be an otherwise basic “dude” hat.
Knitting: Cowl
This is a great fitted cowl knit in the round using short rows and a triangle shaped construction.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knit flat in one piece and seamed on the inside to create a nifty stash pocket for your phone!
Knitting: Headband
This is a vintage inspired turban style headband. It has a twist in the front and is shaped in the back for almost complete head coverage and a distinct vintage flair.
