Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern also includes directions for an increase stitch that creates a clean definite line for the thumb insert.

I love slouchy hats and this one turned out great! The mock cable stitch is popular for hats, scarves and socks, but shaping can be a little tricky. By using drastically different-sized needles, you can achieve the snug ribbing around the head while having more room for the slouchy part. It is stretchy enough to fit any adult head.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Fingerless gloves are very popular right now. This pattern is quick and easy and can be made in a few hours. Get those needles going and make several for gifts in these last few weeks before the holidays.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks are especially comfortable because the fancy lace is on the top of the foot and the rest is a tight Stockinette for good fit.
Knitting: Cowl
The Victoria Cowl can be worn as a cowl or as a hood when the wind picks up.

Knitting: Cowl
The Sadie Cowl is elastic and loose-fitting, a perfect accessory to keep your neck warm on a breezy day. It is done in a lacy rib that is very easy and fun to do and creates a beautiful rib. The nice part about these cowls is that they can be made with just one skein of yarn of approximately 200 yards.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a simple and fast slouchy hat to make, suitable for both men and women. There is only one size because it is done in a twisted rib which is very, very stretchy. It takes three different sizes of circular needles to create the shaping, and the yarn is self-striping.
Knitting: Cloche Hat
I have always loved hats and I especially love felted hats. I designed this hat in remembrance for my mother, Adele, who was a life-long knitting. She taught me to knit before I could even read.

5 stitches/inch in stockinette, size 6 needles. (Gauge is not critical but should be close. I have used this pattern with size 5, 6, and 7 needles, with success.) I always start with size 2 needles for the brim.
