Knitting: Cowl
This snuggly cowl is a good introduction to mitered squares and a great way to use up a few bits of leftover yarn. I used a multicolored yarn with three solids for highlights. You could use all solids or a different color for every square. Pick colors to match your winter coat, your eyes or your car! The choice is yours.
Knitting: Scarf
This quick scarflette uses crunchy texture and easy color play to add fun and interest to the knitting and the wearing. The pattern uses all of the MC of Vista so if you want it longer you will need more than one skein of that. Or, get creative and use the other two yarns to make it longer.

When I saw this yarn I knew it had to be a cozy cowl. The simple lace design keeps it interesting to knit and the color contrast stripe adds some zing. As always you are free to experiment with color--all one color, each stripe a different color…Have fun!
