Knitting: Cowl
The Papillon Cowl features simple colorwork with the beautiful color-changing Making Tracks as the butterflies on a solid background of Woolstok Worsted. The cowl has a repeat of 3 butterflies going up. This could easily be changed to add another row of butterflies. The finished circumference of the cowl is 26”, with a height of 10”. It wears w...

The Faded Hearts Cowl is worked in the round, starting with a provisional cast on. You will be working in stranded colorwork knitting for the first half of the cowl…then finishing the last half with simple color fading with the three contrast colors. The cowl is finished using kitchener stitch, making it seamless. You will use most of the skein...

Peppermint Snowflake is a great introduction to stranded knitting. You will only be working two colors during the stranded section and there are only a couple of rounds with long floats. The hat is written in one size that will fit most average adults. If you wish to make the hat to fit a smaller or larger head, simply use smaller or larger yar...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Pink Fizz is a simple garter stitch shawl worked sideways. The Kidsilk Haze adds a nice halo effect when paired with the beautiful La Jolla sock yarn. The shawl is knitted holding the 2 strands together on a size 10 needle. It has great drape….and it is a super fast knit!

Drew was inspired by a dear friend. I had already designed and knitted the short version, when he suggested I create a long version. One that could be twisted once around the neck so you could see the solid color from the reverse side. So….here it is.

I wanted to make something simple with the Rowan Tweed. The yarn is really lofty and textured. I came up with this simple cowl with stripes that ebb and flow. The pattern calls for a main color and six contrast colors. The lightness and warmth of this cowl will be perfect for our mild Nashville autumn and winter.

Lunares is a simple slouchy hat with a fair isle border. It is available in three sizes and can be worn by both men and women. I used Malabrigo Rios for this design, but there are so many other wonderful worsted weight options out there. You will need a full skein of the MC, but probably only a half skein or less of the CC. When working the hem...
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl was inspired by one of my very favorite flowers….the iris. And, I love Madeline Tosh yarns! Gauge is not critical, since this is a cowl. I made my cowl a total length of 60”, but you could certainly make it shorter or longer.
Knitting: Beret, Tam, Beanie, Toque
This is a really simple knitted slouchy tam. The covered button accent at the top is the finishing touch. And, the yarn is like heaven to knit with.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a great first time stranded project!

I have always loved these colors together. You will have enough of your accent colors to make several other things. Since the gauge is worsted, the yarn combinations are limitless. I have given the gauge in “stranded stockinette stitch”. Your gauge in regular stockinette stitch (worked back and forth) should measure approx. 20sts/4”. The gauge ...

I designed this hat during the month of October. It is a celebration of life. The fair isle sections are charted in color. Pattern is written in one size. This hat will fit any average adult. I used the Cascade 220 wool because of it’s durability and beauty when blocked….and of course, the incredible color range.
