These socks are knit with Bavarian Twisted stitches. Many crosses can be worked without a cable needle, but the 3 stitch ones require a cable needle. The under stitch in a crossing may be worked untwisted as the knitter desires. The sock shown is for a man with large, wide feet.

The pattern is available in sizes 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. Knitting starts with the Snails pattern, which is written out. This is the border and a close up is provided. The snakes pattern is charted only, but is a simple 14 stitch, 12 row panel.

The leg is beaded and the pattern continues down the instep without the beads. The gusset is on the bottom of the foot, giving arch shaping.

These mitts start with the cuff edge. The cuff pattern is written out and the color work is charted. The chart includes the whole mitt with shaping and the whole thumb.

The contrast color slip stitch pattern on the top of the foot is worked back and forth and the main color is worked around the foot, avoiding elf toes from the tight row gauge of the slip stitch pattern.

This sweater starts with the seed stitch ruffle. Stitches are decreased and the body lace pattern is worked. The 4 row pattern is charted, not written out, but is only a 5 stitch pattern. Sleeves are also worked from the bottom up.
