Both crochet and yarn advent calendars have been steadily gaining popularity in recent years (yay!) and while there are many beautiful knitted patterns using advent yarn, crochet patterns designed specifically for advent yarn still seem harder to find. That’s why I created this easy to make and easy to find Crocheted Advent Baby Blanket!

Crochet: Doll
I love to design toys with interactive elements for children. This Bendy Ballerina doll can be moved into various poses, just like a real Ballerina! The limbs are designed to be flexible, so you don’t need to include wire in order for your doll to strike a pose. Incorporating a thread of sparkly yarn gives her dress a glittery effect.

Using a tight stitch with velvet yarn gives great warmth, drape, and texture. I love the way that the velvet yarn catches the light, making the stitches resemble pomegranate seeds.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
If you’re anything like me, you start a project filled with enthusiasm, but as time goes on and rows get longer my enjoyment can sometimes begin to fade. I noticed a sense of rejuvenation when I get past the halfway point on a C2C blanket and think to myself “It gets easier from here”. That led me to designing this modern, asymmetric shawl. Unl...
Crochet: Scarf
I designed this scarf to show off the water colour-like nature of hand-dyed yarn. Often I find myself with a beautiful but small amount of hand dyed yarn and feel unsure about how to best showcase the colours. This design allows you to use a small amount of yarn (less than half a skein) paired with a complimentary colour (though I’m sure the sa...
