Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
23 x 23 cm in size when using same yarn and needle size.
Crochet: Scarf
Made out of one ball of fingering sock yarn, this scarf measures 26 x 130 cm. You can crochet it with less starting chains for a narrower scarf or make it wider, more like a stole, just as you want. Instructions on how to vary the size are in the pattern.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
Can be done in any yarn and needle size. Gauge is not important, I just mentioned it to give you an idea. The finished size may be different when using a different yarn.

Made to provide some extra warmth around the ears.

A friendly person pointed out to me that it is not spring now (I am writing these lines in the beginning of November). She is right. Never mind, in the Southern hemisphere it is spring.

This stranded hat is knitted in a worsted weight wool yarn. You will need about 150 m of the main colour and 30 m of the contrast colour. Brim circumference is 47 cm.

I don’t like winter at all, I don’t like the cold. But it will come, same as every year, better be prepared.

This sweater is knitted mostly in a ribbed pattern which is stretchy. You will need a small amount of contrast colour (around 30 m) for the mosaic pattern and at least 850 m of main colour. Yarn used is a worsted cotton yarn.

Got some sock yarn leftovers that haunt you? Me too. This is one of my tries to get rid of them. The cowl is knit in the round, the circumference is 44 cm. You will need two different colours, 100 m of main colour and 50 m of contrast colour.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
Use any cotton yarn that you like. Depending on the yarn, you may need a little more or less yarn. I made another one in a sport weight yarn which used up 57 m, the one in the aran yarn used up 64 m. Gauge is not critical.

The cowl is worked in the round. Circumference of the one in the picture is 110 cm. The size can easily be adjusted. I used a sport weight sock yarn, about 240 meters (260 yards) of the main colour plus a small leftover, (7 meters) of the contrast colour.The pattern should work for other yarn weights as well. Knitting: Book Cover
I made this for an old book that was falling apart to make it look nicer. The cover is knitted, but there are crochet edges on both sides, which join the flaps to the top. If you don’t like crocheting, you can also sew it.

These are not my invention. My grandmother had potholders like this. I recently found them again and wanted to make some for myself, to use at home and to keep the memory alive.

A warm scarf in doubleknitted colorwork with an ornament running along each side. Use any yarn and colours that you like. Mine was made in a DK weight yarn, 400 yards (or 370 meters) of each colour are minimum, that’s when I ran out of yarn and had to stop at a length of 130 cm.

Knitting: Scarf, Shawl / Wrap
A stole in lace weight yarn which can easily be adjusted to make a narrower scarf (stitch numbers are given). Use any yarn that you like. The gauge given is for the lace weight, but not really important.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks are knitted top down, mostly in stockinette stitch. There is an easy cable which is charted. Instructions for heel and toes are included, but if you have other preferences, do as you like. The pattern is written for European size 38, you can easily adjust it for other sizes by adding stitches or leaving some away.
Knitting: Headband
This is an easy to knit hairband. The smocked stitches may look tricky at first sight, please don’t fear. Mine was made out of fingering cotton yarn, but you can use any yarn that you like. Gauge is not important at all, just knit to the size that you want.

This is my first ever pattern. It is a sleeveless summer top which knits up quickly. You will need about 400 meters plus 150 meters of DK weight yarn in two different colours. Mine was made in two different cotton/linen blends. It is worked flat in two pieces which are seamed in the end.
