Knitting: Scarf, Beanie, Toque
A lacy, lightweight hat and scarf for spring and fall! Both are knit from sock yarn-- a 400 yard skein of yarn makes a long scarf or two hats. (To make a matching hat and scarf, you’ll need about 600 yards of yarn). The scarf has beads on its tails for weight and shimmer (optional). Both patterns assume familiarity with very basic lace knitting...
Knitting: Mittens
Two-color mittens with a tree of life motif on the back. Each mitten uses less than 200 yards of each color, so the pattern can be knit with partial skeins of yarn. Any sock yarn should work!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
A lightweight cabled mitt excellent for transitional seasons. One size fits most women.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A classic cabled sock with heel flap and optional contrast toe. Sized for women’s average calf and men’s average calf; fit should be a little snug as there is no cuff ribbing. Requires one skein of 400 +/- yard sock yarn, or two skeins of 200 +/- sock yarn, as well as approximately 50 yards of scrap sock yarn for the contrast toe.
