This book of 18 cowls is also available in printed form at my brick-and-mortar store, The Knaughty Knitter, in Murfreesboro, TN.

eBook : 15 patterns

Here are some scarf patterns from scarves I’ve knit for the store. I designed a lot of these with beginning knitters in mind to help folks learn new techniques and skills. One of the things I always try to do in my classes is to get students to add their own touch to a pattern, to learn to adjust patterns to suit themselves. I hope to do that with this book of patterns too. There are 15 patterns in the book.

Knitting: Cowl
This is a great way to show off this beautiful yarn. The cowl can be any size you like. Make it long and double it or make it short and you could possibly get two out of a roll.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I recently added Brown Sheep Company’s Shepherds Shades to my store’s inventory and discovered I LOVE this yarn. My sweet husband Doyle decided he wanted a hat because the yarn is so springy and I designed one for him. He loves it. This is a simple hat pattern, great for a first time hat knitter. I’ve added a very simple chart for knitting in a...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love Manos Maxima for this, but you could use any heavy worsted or light chunky yarn. Hand Dyed looks best, but not too much color changing or you will lose the patterning. Because of the way the pattern is written you could use any size yarn, adjust the number of rows you knit.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
You are on a cruise and breezes are a bit cool, this is a perfect shawl to keep you warm. Just a simple little wrap, easy to knit and quick too. It is a great beginner lace shawl with waves along the edge to remind of nights on the sea.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is my stash buster shawl. It can be knit with a combination of yarns in different sizes and with lots of texture or just a little.
Knitting: Doll
This tiny fairy is versatile, instructions include a crochet version as well. She can be as sparkly as you like. Her wings are made of Angelina fiber and instructions for that are included. Cut her wings out any shape that seems right to you. I have used hand spun merino for the hair, you can use a thick and thin yarn or a bulky if you do not h...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This can be made a full size baby blanket by using more yarn (2 sk of each color) The stroller size is one sk. each of 5 colors. I’ve included the Icord Edging, but you could substitute another edging pattern too.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This is a modular knitted blanket, so it requires no sewing. There is an Icord binding around it with corner knots. These could be added to go all the way around if you wanted.
Knitting: Cowl
This quick cowl uses the entire skein of this fun yarn.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque

Knitting: Cowl
This is a pattern to knit a cowl featuring cables and texture stitches in a bulky yarn. The sample was knitted with Juniper Moon Farm Willa, but any bulky yarn in a solid or minimal color change would work. You’ll need about 153 yards and one 16” US Size 10.5 circular needle.
Knitting: Scarf
Easy.
Knitting: Cowl
This simple lace stitch is good for beginning lace knitters. The simplicity of the stitch makes the yarn the star of the show. The cowl can be worn several ways. Just throw it around your neck for a long cowl; double it for warmth around your neck; or around your neck and over your head if you forgot your hat and it got cold all of a sudden.
