Knitting: Doll, Softies - Other
A great soft, quiet toy. Grandbaby approved! Uses scraps or small amounts so it makes a great stash buster. Leftovers from a baby sweater can be used for a matching toy.
Knitting: Dress
I used KFI’s lovely sock yarn for this dress- holding it double- it approximates a DK weight for knitting purposes but gives me the washability and wearability of sock yarn for this garment.
Knitting: Mittens
“A warm pair of mittens is the best accessory for a child that loves to play in the snow.” The most common challenge with mittens is keeping the wrists warm and dry. A long cuff option is a great solution.
Knitting: Gloves, Fingerless Gloves
A Basic Wristlet pattern with 3 variations. These take very little yarn and are a quick knit. Paired with cashmere (or any store bought) gloves they make a lovely gift and have been very well received.
Knitting: Edging
I have used many different yarns for this- since it only takes 1 ball or less, it’s a great stash buster for me. I hope you’ll try it too.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A great one ball project - self patterning yarn is wonderful with this hat and mittens.
