These can be made with any type of yarn (weight / fiber content) and any size crochet hook as long as the two things are compatible!

Additional materials needed: eyes, noses, & stuffing.

This pattern uses a very small amount of some colors - as little as ten yards, depending on the tails you leave and your gauge (which is hopefully more consistent than mine).

Close-fitting reversible hat uses less than a ball (100g) each of 2 colors of worsted weight wool.

The size I made was 34” (small) and I extrapolated the amount of yarn needed for the other sizes based on the area of finished knitting. I used just over 950 yards of the main color and around 35 yards of each of the contrasting colors.
