Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
A Japanese inspired melding of leaves and ladders.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pattern has a unique construction. The lace panel is knit first like scarf, then stitches are picked up along its length to finish the shawl.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is a lovely display of the beauty of the long repeats of yarns such as Noro. The heart shape of the shawl creates a garment that hugs the shoulders and easily stays in place, versus shawls that you have to continually tug or pin in place to keep on.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves, Scarf
This is an amazingly lush and squishy scarf and fingerless glove combination. Fingerless gloves use 3/4(ish) of a skein, and the scarf can be knit with two skeins and the remainder for a longer scarf (56”) or with just two skeins for a shorter scarf (50”). It is a generous 9” wide.
Knitting: Scarf
This is a spicy scarf pattern, full of personal flavor, texture and class. Choose your own colorways to best suit your own personal style. Bright colors add excitement while classic stripes and a sturdy solid make this an excellent scarf to wear year-round.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
A lovely classy shrug pattern fit for dressing up any outfit.
Knitting: Scarf
Can be knit with any bulky yarn. Lima, Juli and Flickr are not listed as bulky but they are very fluffy and take to the pattern very well.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Cowl
Can be knit out of any bulky yarn suitably soft for around the neck. A squishy and thick but light and airy fabric for extra warmth. Quick and simple cabled knit that produces a truly reversible fabric.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A lush wrap full of horse shoe cables for luck and finished off with three buttons for three different wearing options, because all good things come in threes!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Scarf
This pattern creates a fully reversible scarf and hat with what appears to be a cable, though no cabled or twisted stitches are involved. An excellent quick-working project that creates a sophisticated and expert look with beginner to intermediate skill.
Knitting: Hats - Other
Though this hat is knit differently to reflect my own style of knitting and pattern writing and to adjust for the much smaller canvas of a newborn’s head, I would like to give credit and thanks to Thelma Egberts for the visual inspiration for this baby hat from her adult version of the fish hat.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A lovely textured wrap that is appealing from both sides. The front is a highly textured hugged stitch pattern, and the back has the appearance of a waffle pattern.
Knitting: Brimmed Hat
Adorable hat with an optional ruffle. Cute worked in a striped yarn or with the brim and the cabled parts of the hat in different colors or all the same. Workable with one ball of Ty-Dy Wool or one skein of Cascade 220. (Men’s size hat with a ruffle may require more than one skein.)
Knitting: Bib
A pair of trouble makers determined to catch messes!
Knitting: Scarf
Please note that printed copies of this pattern are available from Earthfaire.com. Free beads are included with purchase of both the pattern and yarn. She is a fabulous lady with wonderful taste and prompt shipping.
Knitting: Slippers, Ankle Sock
This is a quick and simple slipper pattern constructed the way a traditional cuff-down sock is made. It is a perfect pattern for those beginning to learn how to knit socks because it uses actual techniques on a much larger scale for faster knitting and stitches that are easy to see. It is written to help ‘hand hold’ new sock knitters and answer...
