Rows of easy-to-knit faux bobbles add textural dimension to simple this beanie hat.

A baby version of the popular Mixed-up May hat. The hat was designed using bits of five different yarns, but would also look quite nice using fewer colors or only one yarn for a solid color look.
Knitting: Cloche Hat
A simple striped slouch hat. The provisional cast-on creates a smooth edge that will appeal to those that want a looser fitting hat.

Errata - On Color 6, Rd 2, 3 and 4 omit first & last purl stitches. You should only knit the pattern as indicated in the repeat. A revised pattern is forthcoming.

Originally designed in the mid 1800s as a close-fitting low-crowned hat, the Bowler is often referred to as a Derby. Made famous by Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, and detectives Thomson and Thompson (from the Adventures of Tintin) this Baby Bowler will outfit any small and proper young man.

Although this hat was made for my LYS mascot bear, the circumference of 17” would most likely fit a small baby of about 3 to 6 months. While on display there were requests for the pattern so I thought I would write it up.
