This is a fun knit using some really cool yarn from MOD Yarns. If you have knit with chenille before and didn’t like it, trust me, you’ll like this yarn! And the color choices are awesome!

I loved, loved designing with this yarn! It has a thick and thin characteristic to it that I used to create an all over funky texture. There are 4 different stitches in the pattern, all to keep your attention and interest. The optional fringe was a last minute thought I had and I think it made the cowl.

Kona, a very dear friend’s Miniature Pinscher, was a very sweet dog who passed away almost 2 years ago. The two of them were pretty inseparable; where one went, the other followed - or was carried. ;-)
Knitting: Scarf
Yvonne Marie is a long scarf I designed for one of my favorite aunties who turned 86 in 2023. She’s always told the most colorful stories about her life so of course, I had to use colorful yarn for her scarf. Noro Ito had so many color options but this one nailed it (#42 Beppu).
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Aunt Bernadene was named after a dear aunt of mine who passed away. She was a knitter as well and I thought creating something in her name that was cheery and sweet would be a wonderful way to remember her.

The Kelvin Cowl has a single, wide cable on the front of it, framed by a twisted stitch on either side, and a bit of texture for fun and to keep your interest while knitting it!

Fabulous Francesca is a cowl knit in a squishy and soft worsted weight yarn using a pretty lace pattern.

Midge is a crescent shawl worked from the top down in two colors. It begins with a simple stockinette stitch, flows into a textured lace section, and ends with a lace border. It can be worked in two colors, as shown in both of the samples, but I feel it would also be quite beautiful knit up in a single colorway.

The Peltier shawl is named after a beautiful lake located close by our new house. Having lived in the suburbs nearly all of our lives, it’s become such a joy to take a short walk to a pretty lake, and enjoy its beauty and the surrounding views in our new little city.

Eirene is the Greek goddess of peace. My grandmother, of the same name, was an incredibly peaceful, charming, sweet and very funny lady. Sweet Eirene was created in her memory.
Knitting: Scarf
Flindrikin is the perfect winter scarf that’s reversible, soft, squishy, full of texture, and of course, toasty warm!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Jorjamae is a rectangular sampler shawl designed to honor my mother who passed away in 2014. Her love of life, her contagious smile, and her passion for flowers are what inspired the stitches for the shawl. It’s a great first lace project for the novice knitter, yet interesting enough for those with more experience.
