This is a unique pattern for a traditional style beret with an elastic band inserted for a better fit. It is easy to knit. Once the hat is felted, it has a textured fabric appearance.

This PDF pattern is designed for a child’s head size up to 20 inches. It is suitable for girls 6-8 and 8-10 years of age. You can manipulate the size by felting more for a smaller size or felting less and stretching the shape and size to fit a larger heard.

1) The US #11needle needs to be a 24” Circular.

Size is determined by felting and shaping to size required. One skein of Cascade Ecological Wool will make two hats.
