Crochet: Scarf
For all you seasoned crocheters, out there, the pattern is simple - 2 rows in SC of each color!!
Crochet: Bath Mitt
I had found a skein of this amazing yarn called “Plymouth Yarn Fantasy Naturale” which is a cotton yarn that feels so soft, absorbent, and luxurious. I used the skein I purchased to make swiffer covers but then i had less than 1/2 a skein left (not enough to make another cover).
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This hat is made bottom up to top, much like many knitted hats. I found many Tunisian hats online but most of them required a seam. I prefer working in the round for hats. The cool factor of the TCR is that the front and the back have very different looks. The stitch also creates a very soft and thicker fabric than either knitting or regular cr...
Crochet: Purse / Handbag
I made this purse because I wanted to experiment with texture by chaining up the yarn and creating something using chained yarn. I basically created this on the fly, but I tried to recapture the steps to share because the outcome is very cute and handy.
Crochet: Purse / Handbag
Sometimes I get stuck deciding what to do with a particular yarn. I was playing around with this yarn and kind of made this as I went. The wool doesn’t lend itself to being used as a dishcloth because it will felt. And I did not want that. So, i came up with this purse.
Crochet: Cowl
I was looking to bust some of my stash and work up quick pieces for an upcoming handicraft sale my friend is having. Being engrossed in watching West Wing reruns, I decided to play around with using two strands of yarn to crochet together. This scarf is the result of some experimentation.
Crochet: Bag - Other, Beanie, Toque
I find that little girls like to play with purses and carry them around everywhere. I came up with this to make a simple owl hat and purse because it requires hunting down multiple patterns that might prove to be challenging for most beginners.
Crochet: Messenger Bag, Purse / Handbag
I have tried and successfully made some purses (such as the Nordstrom-inspired hobo bag), but the patterns always seem to result in pieces that I am unable to use successfully because my iPad which is in its own case NEVER fits right into the purse. On the other hand, I have not found most crocheted iPad holder purses to have the “look” that I ...
Crochet: Brimmed Hat
This is an easy one-skein hat with a brim. My son loves camouflage clothing and when i found this “Deep Woods” color in Loops & Threads Charisma, I picked it up on impulse. He is tired of wearing the same old beanies I make for him, so I told him I would try to make a hat with a brim. A little trial and error later, I came up with this patt...
Crochet: Ball
My child loves soccer but i don’t allow him to play with his regular ball inside the house. I created this pattern to allow for a “softer” option for him to play with inside.
Crochet: Vest
This is basically a simple vest I designed for my 4 year old son to use up a skein of inexpensive gray yarn that I had.
Crochet: Earflap Hat
This hat crochets up a bit snug with my style of crocheting. However, since it uses just a little bit over 1 skein of yarn, it is easy to create.
Crochet: Cowl
This is a simple pattern created to show off the beauty of the reggae Ombré #1659 yarn.
