Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This simple, beginner-friendly pattern is worked in the round from the top of the stem to the bottom of that hat. There is even only only one yarn tail to weave in!
Crochet: Afghan block
I designed this afghan block to honor the brave people of Ukraine. It features a yellow sunflower on a blue background, representing both Ukraine’s national flower and the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
Crochet: Cowl
This garment is as warm and cozy as a hug, with a cowl big enough to pull over the head as a hood and a triangle scarf wide enough to drape over the shoulders.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is worked end to end, starting with a ribbed border, working the body of the shawl in moss stitch, and ending by repeating the border. Working moss stitch with a weight 3 yarn such as Lion Brand Mandala creates a smooth, lightweight fabric with a lovely drape.
Crochet: Cowl
This project truly could not be quicker or easier to make. You simply crochet a rectangle that’s 8″ wide and 36″ long, then fold and stitch it as shown in the pattern photos. A button holds the collar where you want it and also adds a nice accent.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
What could be more comforting than wrapping up in something that’s warm and cozy - and as a bonus, has pockets!
Crochet: Cowl
I came up with this easy pattern when I wanted to quickly crochet a bunch of winter apparel items for a church collection while using up my stash of leftover odds and ends of Caron Cakes. It’s a great project for crochet beginners, or for anyone who wants to use up leftover yarn.
Crochet: Poncho
Based on my popular Easiest Poncho pattern (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-easiest-ponc...), this poncho uses several colors of Lion Brand Jeans yarn for a patchwork effect.
Crochet: Cardigan
This long cardigan has things going for it. First, it’s deceptively easy to make: using only the most elementary crochet stitches, it’s worked in one piece from the right side across to the left and then stitched up each side with two simple seams, leaving armholes. It’s a great project for an advanced beginner who’d like to try making a garment.
Crochet: Cowl
This bandana cowl is worked in one piece, in the round, from the top of the cowl down to the bottom edge of the bandana, and uses only the most elementary of crochet stitches.
Crochet: Poncho
This lightweight poncho has a streamlined silhouette and a lovely subtle texture. And, you can crochet it quickly and easily from just two Caron Cakes using only elementary crochet stitches!
Crochet: Scarf
Requiring just a single Caron Tea Cake, this super-easy, super-quick infinity scarf is perfect for a crochet beginner, or for a more experienced crocheter who wants to work on a mindless project while binge-watching their favorite show, or needs to make a gift in a hurry.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This project requires very little effort for very gratifying results. Using only a single Caron Big Cake and the most elementary of crochet stitches, you can quickly make this versatile, one-size-fits-most piece that can be worn as either a shawl or a scarf.
Crochet: Shrug / Bolero
Anyone with advanced beginner crochet skills can whip up this quick and easy cuffed shrug in any size you like.
Crochet: Cardigan
Anyone with advanced-beginner level crochet skills can make this self-striping cardigan in just three easy steps. This pattern explains how to work with Caron Cakes (or other self-striping yarn) and get the colors to fan out attractively from the center of the back in roughly concentric squares
Crochet: Cardigan
One of the great things about the granny square cocoon cardigan is that it can be made in just three simple steps by anyone who has mastered basic crochet skills: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet.
